1. Right of Withdrawal (Cooling-Off Period)
Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 calendar days without giving any reason.
- The 14-day withdrawal period begins on the day you, or a nominated third party, take physical possession of the goods.
- To exercise this right, you must notify us of your decision to withdraw (for example via email or using a return form).
- We will send you a confirmation of receipt of your withdrawal by electronic means (e.g. email).
Once you have notified us, you have 14 calendar days from that moment to send back the goods.
2. Conditions for Returns under Withdrawal
To be eligible for return under withdrawal:
- The goods should be unused or in the same condition as when you received them.
- They should be returned in their original packaging, including all accessories, labels, and any included materials (e.g. book covers, dust jackets).
- If the goods are damaged or show signs of use beyond what is necessary to examine them, we may reduce your refund corresponding to the diminution in value.
3. Return Shipping Costs
- Unless otherwise agreed, you bear the direct cost of returning the goods to our address in Hungary.
- If you expressly chose a more expensive shipping method than the least costly standard shipping option, we are not obligated to reimburse the extra cost.
- You should use a reliable shipping method and retain proof of shipment (tracking number or receipt).
4. Refunds
- We will refund all payments received from you, including the initial standard delivery cost (but not additional costs from choosing a more expensive delivery) once we become aware of your decision to withdraw.
- We will issue the refund within 14 days of the earlier of (a) receiving the goods back, or (b) you providing proof of return shipment.
- We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods or proof of shipment, whichever is earlier.
- Refunds are made via the same payment method you used, unless you expressly agree otherwise (no extra fees to you).
6. Faulty or Non-Conforming Goods (Statutory Guarantees)
- Separately from the withdrawal regime, you have legal rights if products are faulty, damaged, or not as described. Under EU rules:
- You have a minimum 2-year guarantee period from delivery to claim for non-conformity (defects, deviation from description, etc.).
- If a defect emerges, you may request a repair or replacement free of charge.
- If repair or replacement is impossible or disproportionate, you may claim a full or partial refund, or have the contract rescinded.
- Within the first 12 months, it is presumed that defects already existed unless the seller proves otherwise (in many EU countries)
- You should notify us of the defect without undue delay upon discovery, and, in any event, no later than 2 months after you became aware of it.
7. How to Initiate a Return or Fault Claim
- To start a return or claim for a faulty product:
- Contact our customer service by email at info@brainflowers.eu with your order number and reason for return or defect.
- For withdrawal returns: state your decision to withdraw, optionally using the model form (form what arrived in the package with the ordered goods - or download it form here).
- Receive our return instructions (address in Hungary) and pack the goods safely (preferably in original packaging).
- Ship the goods to us (at your cost for regular returns, or at our cost if defective).
- After we receive and inspect the goods, we will process your refund or otherwise arrange repair/replacement as applicable.
8. Restocking, Deductions, and Retention Rights
- We may deduct from your refund an amount corresponding to any diminished value from improper use beyond inspection.
- We may withhold the refund until we receive the goods or proof of shipment, whichever is earlier.
- We cannot accept returns sent via cash-on-delivery (COD) or parcels where we must pay upon receipt.
9. Timing and Communication

10. Miscellaneous
- This policy is without prejudice to your statutory rights under Hungarian consumer law, which may provide additional protections beyond what is described here.
- We reserve the right to amend this Refund & Return Policy; but any changes will not affect purchases made before the change.
